DAVID GROFF, President; Portland, Oregon. An historian of Africa, David served for twenty-one years as Director of Linfield College’s Portland Campus until his retirement in Spring, 2009. He traveled to Cameroon in 2006 to prepare for the Linfield students’ collaboration with WEH, and in 2007 and 2009 he accompanied the students for their January internships.
SHERRY ARCHER, Vice-President; Portland, Oregon. Sherry is Assistant Professor of Nursing at Linfield’s Portland Campus. She traveled to Cameroon in 2006 to prepare for the nursing students’ trip, and then accompanied the students to Cameroon in January, 2007 and 2009.
CAROL HOSLER, Secretary/Treasurer and Statutory Agent; Kearny, Arizona. Carol is an Episcopal priest serving a Methodist congregation part-time in her retirement. She was one of Ruth’s roommates at Linfield College, McMinnville campus. In January, 2009, she fulfilled her promise to Ruth 43 years ago that one day she would visit in Africa. She spent six weeks and intends to return.
RUTH TITI-MANYAKA, Member, President of Women, Environment and Health (WEH) of Cameroon. Ruth received her B.S. from Linfield College in the 60s and her Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University in California.
ALLAN ANDERSON, Member; Edmonds, Washington. Allan is an American Baptist clergy person.He led the fundraising campaign in the 1960s for Ruth’s undergraduate and graduate education in the United States.
CHERRY MCAFEE CHAMPAGNE, Member; Vashon Island, Washington. Cherry, a school teacher, was one of Ruth’s classmates at Linfield College.
JENNIFER MORRIS, Member; Spokane, Washington. Jenny, a nurse at Deaconess Hospital, was one of Linfield’s nursing students, serving WEH in January, 2007.
GLENDA O’HARA, Member; Kearny, Arizona. Glenda is a retired hospital administrator. She came onto the Board out of her commitment to the issues, and to represent the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Kearny.
BARBARA STONE, Member; Lakeside, Arizona. Barbara is a nurse practitioner. She helped supervise Linfield nursing students in January, 2009, and intends to return. She represents the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Lakeside.
KATIE WHITE, Member, Portland, Oregon. Katie was one of Linfield’s nursing students in Cameroon in 2009.
